Following on from the design of two previous car dealerships for Sytner, we were approached to provide civil and structural engineering services for the refurbishment of an existing Ferrari dealing in Egham, Surrey. The dealership has the space for 21 new and used Ferraris and handover area for the vehicles which includes a valet bay. Other works, where we worked alongside contractor mcs group, included the removal of an asbestos roof, the construction of a new roof, new external glazing and a render system.

We were involved at an early stage and continued on the project throughout the construction period. Our works included:

• Removal of existing supporting/loadbearing steel columns and internal masonry walls and associated structural reframing foundations
• Remodelling/replacement of the existing free-standing mezzanine floor to create an enlarged office accommodation area at mezzanine level, including associated new foundations
